Stage IIIB 
TNM Any T, N3, M0 or T4, any N, M0
The tumor cannot be removed because of the structures it has invaded and because there would be no survival benefit to the patient.

Standard Treatment  These tumors are best managed with radiation therapy . Surgery has no benefit at this stage.

Five-Year Survival  Less than 5 percent 

Investigational 
• Trials are examining the effectiveness of chemotherapy 
  combined with radiation therapy. These treatments are 
  evaluating various drug combinations and sequences of 
  administration in relation to radiotherapy .
